Certified Used - ACR ResQlink 400 PLB
The ACR ResQLink 400 Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) is built to keep you safe when it matters most. Designed for reliability and ease of use, it attaches securely to your gear or clothing, so it’s always within reach in an emergency.
Smaller and lighter than the ResQLink+, the ResQLink 400 includes built-in buoyancy and a streamlined design that stays out of your way, whether you're on land or at sea.
ACR ResQLink 400 Key Features
Integrated Signal Technology
When activated, the ResQLink 400 transmits your location using three signals: GPS positioning, a 406 MHz distress alert to global search and rescue services, and a 121.5 MHz homing signal to guide rescuers directly to you.
Strobe Light
A high-intensity strobe and infrared strobe improve visibility in low light and night-time conditions, helping rescuers locate you faster.
Simple Activation
Deploy the antenna and press the activation button. The beacon immediately begins transmitting your location, guiding rescuers to within 100 metres or less.
Innovative Design
Multi-function clips and flexible mounting options make it easy to attach the device to a life jacket, backpack, or belt, keeping it accessible at all times.
Battery Performance
This unit is supplied with a battery expiry date of April 2030, meaning it has a shorter remaining service life than a brand-new device. It uses non-hazardous lithium batteries and, once activated, provides over 24 hours of continuous transmission.
If your PLB is used in a genuine emergency, ACR will replace it free of charge. You can also return your used beacon to be featured on ACR’s Wall of Fame.
Self-Test Function
Two built-in self-test modes allow you to check both the internal electronics and GPS functionality at the push of a button, ensuring your beacon is ready when you need it.
Subscription Free
No monthly fees or contracts. The ResQLink 400 operates on the global Cospas-Sarsat satellite network, delivering reliable emergency coverage without ongoing costs.
Re-programming your ResQLink 400 PLB
All Personal Locator Beacons supplied by GTC are pre-programmed with a UK country code. While they operate globally, emergency alerts will initially be routed to the UK Coastguard Agency in Falmouth, where the device is registered.
If you require programming for another country, contact us before dispatch.
This device should only be used in situations of grave and imminent danger to life. False alerts can disrupt search and rescue operations and may result in penalties.
PLBs do not function underwater. If you plan to carry one below the surface, it must be stored in a suitable waterproof canister within the specified depth limits.
Register your ResQLink 400 PLB
Registration is required by law in most countries and is essential for an effective rescue response. It allows search and rescue teams to identify you and access important information about your trip.
To register your beacon, you will need your unique HEX ID, found on the device and packaging.
